The Uganda Forestry Association (UFA) is a Non-Governmental Professional Organisation, which was established in 1985 by foresters to bring together professionals, individuals working for and/or interested in forestry and community organisations.


Key activity: Promoting professionalism in the forest sector

To create and maintain public understanding of the value and vital role forests play in our daily lives

To promote forestry in improving agriculture productivity, provision of employment, contribution towards poverty alleviation and food security

To serve as an advocacy channel for forestry issues and networking with other professional organisations

Membership with the Uganda Forestry Association

Membership is open to individual members interested and working in forestry and related disciplines including local community organisations.
